Fantasy novels can be anything you want them to be. They can tell any story, be about anyone or anything, use nouns that can mean absolutely anything, and fix any problem or fill any hole, with a tickle of a dragon’s knee or the wave of a magic garage. They can literally be whatever you can think of. And then it’s a book.
I once turned randomly to the 301st page of a fantasy novel. I was afforded a single page of a world, a snapshot of a tale that could have been absolutely anything. Your task – write the 301st page (and only the 301st page) of your fantasy novel.
